IMAX Names Jonathan Fischer as Chief Content Officer
PLAYA VISTA, Calif., October 10, 2024 (BUSINESS WATCH GLOBAL) – IMAX Corporation has appointed Jonathan Fischer as its new Chief Content Officer. Fischer, formerly Vice President of Content Strategy & Analysis for Global Films at Netflix, will oversee IMAX’s content strategy across Hollywood and international films, IMAX Documentaries, IMAX Live, as well as original experiences in music, gaming, and sports. Fischer will be based in IMAX’s Playa Vista office and report to Rich Gelfond, CEO of IMAX.

He was responsible for developing the group's greenlight process and overseeing studio, independent, animation, documentary, and international releases. Fischer’s prior experience includes leadership roles at Illumination Entertainment, New Regency Entertainment, and Groundswell Productions.
