Lincoln Financial Appoints Jennifer Charters as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer

RADNOR, Pa., October 22, 2024 (BUSINESS WATCH GLOBAL) – Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE: LNC) has announced that Jennifer Charters will join the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective November 18, 2024. According to the company, Charters, who has 30 years of experience in financial services technology, will be responsible for overseeing the company's technology and digital strategies. She will report directly to Ellen Cooper, Chairman, President, and CEO, and will be part of the Senior Management Committee.

Charters previously served as Executive Vice President and CIO at Flagstar Bank, where she led the company's IT organization. Before that, she held a similar role at Ally Financial, and earlier in her career, worked at Accenture, focusing on large-scale systems development and process improvement.

“As we continue to optimize our operating model, we are excited to welcome Jen to our team to further accelerate our technology modernization and innovation efforts. Jen is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience driving business value through technology delivery”, said Cooper.

Charters will succeed Ken Solon, Lincoln Financial’s current Executive Vice President and CIO, who plans to retire in early 2025. Solon has been with the company for 16 years. Cooper expressed appreciation for his service, stating, "On behalf of all of Team Lincoln, I want to thank and recognize Ken for his numerous contributions and congratulate him on a remarkable career in financial services."
