EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Oct. 3, 2024 (BUSINESS WATCH GLOBAL) – Mattel, Inc. has announced the promotion of Roberto Stanichi to Executive Vice President of Hot Wheels and Head of Vehicles and Building Sets. This move is seen as part of Mattel’s broader strategy to strengthen its leadership across key brands, including Hot Wheels, which continues to hold its position as the top-selling toy globally.
Lisa McKnight, Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer at Mattel, praised Stanichi’s contributions to the company, saying, “Roberto has been a driving force behind the growth of Mattel’s Vehicles category and, of course, Hot Wheels, which is on track for its seventh consecutive record year in 2024. He has always embodied the ‘challenger spirit’ that defines the Hot Wheels brand purpose.”

Stanichi will now oversee additional responsibilities, including the Thomas and Friends franchise and the Building Sets category, led by MEGA. Reflecting on his new role, Stanichi said, “It has been an incredible privilege to lead the team responsible for taking the Vehicles category and Hot Wheels to new heights, and to now have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of more incredible brands in our portfolio.”
Stanichi joined Mattel in 2004 and has held several marketing leadership roles within the company, covering multiple categories. He also worked at Spin Master and PepsiCo during his career. Stanichi holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of São Paulo and an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo, Brazil.
