Northwell Health’s Dr. Stacey E. Rosen Named President-elect of the American Heart Association
NEW HYDE PARK, N.Y., July 1, 2024 (BUSINESS WATCH GLOBAL) - The American Heart Association (AHA) has announced that Dr. Stacey E. Rosen, Senior Vice President of Women’s Health at Northwell Health and Executive Director of the Katz Institute for Women’s Health, has been named President-elect for the 2024-2025 term. Dr. Rosen, a practicing cardiologist for over 30 years, will assume the role of President in July 2025.
Dr. Rosen will support the current AHA President, Keith Churchwell, MD, in advancing the association’s initiatives and guiding its 35 million volunteers and supporters. She expressed her honor at being elected, saying, “I am deeply honored and grateful to be elected as the President-elect of the American Heart Association as the AHA celebrates 100 years of lifesaving service.”
With a career dedicated to the cardiovascular health of women, Dr. Rosen has been actively involved with the AHA for over 30 years, holding leadership roles at the local, regional, and national levels. She currently serves on the AHA’s International Committee, NYC Board of Directors, and NYC Medical Advisory Committee. Dr. Rosen has received several awards from the AHA, including the Women in Cardiology Mentoring Award in 2018 and the Physician of the Year Award in 2021.
Dr. Rosen oversees Northwell Health’s Katz Institute for Women’s Health, which focuses on enhancing women's health through comprehensive healthcare and support for sex- and gender-specific research. She has co-authored the book "Heart Smarter for Women: Six Weeks to a Healthier Heart" and co-produced the documentary "Ms. Diagnosed."
