Tanger Elects Former Gap CEO Sonia Syngal to Board of Directors

GREENSBORO, N.C., September 23, 2024 (BUSINESS WATCH GLOBAL)Tanger® has announced the election of Sonia Syngal, former CEO of Gap Inc., to its board of directors, effective immediately. This move increases the number of directors on Tanger's board from nine to ten, with Syngal bringing over 30 years of leadership experience in the retail, technology, and automotive industries.

Syngal served as CEO of Gap Inc. from 2020 to 2022, during which she managed the company through growth in its e-commerce division. She also led Old Navy as CEO from 2016 to 2020.

In a statement regarding Syngal's appointment, Tanger President and CEO Stephen Yalof said, "I am thrilled to have Sonia join our board of directors. Her deep expertise as a Fortune 500 executive leader will strengthen the capabilities of our board."

In addition to her role at Tanger, Syngal serves on the board of governors for Boys & Girls Clubs of America and as a senior advisor to Accenture. Her experience includes leading initiatives in supply chain management, brand development, and market expansion.
